What we collect: account details (name, username, email or phone, date of birth), profile information you choose to add (photos, bio, interests), location data when you enable location sharing, event and payment activity, and technical data like device and login information.

How we use it: to operate core features (matching, discovery, events, chat), to process subscriptions and event payments, to keep the platform safe (reviewing reports, preventing fraud and abuse), and to communicate with you about your account.

Location data: location sharing is optional and used to show you nearby people and events. You can disable it at any time in your settings.

Payments: card and UPI details are handled directly by our payment gateway partners; GatherU does not store your full payment credentials.

Sharing: we don't sell your personal data. We share data with payment gateways to process transactions, and may disclose information where required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

Your choices: you can edit or delete profile information, control your visibility settings, disable location sharing, and request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support.

Data retention: we keep account data for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period after deletion where needed for legal, safety, or financial record-keeping purposes.
